Do you have a fire hydrant on site?
How about the water main location?
Concrete Curbs?
Municipal Drainage Systems?

These are very important for yourself to know and should you hire a professional.

Safety Training

Snow buildup on any surface for too long poses safety risks for slips and falls. Always clear snow buildup as soon as possible to avoid black ice bonding, and more serious structure issues such as roofs and decks premature failures.  When cleaning off decks, use a small shovel and remember: LESS IS MORE. Your back and heart will thank you after the smiles kick in!

Snow & Ice Build-up

Salt on Snow = Unnecessary Ice or Slush!!
 Application per 1,000 sq.ft coverage
1.25 cups (1 lb) = 20 sq.ft ( 0'C )
50 lb = Light application

To ensure the well-being of both our ecosystems and human populations, We, together must minimize environmental impacts by considering using Eco-friendly de-icing materials combined with conservative and sustainable best practises.

When it comes to combating ice, We as humans have a social responsibility to our environment.
We are ultimately responsible for our proactive practices and how much agents we apply.
It is our responsibility to reduce natural impacts!

For CONCRETE surfaces it is best to use calcium chloride as regular road salt and/or ice melt products will open pores of concrete when moisture is trapped in existing cracks therefore new cracks and surface expansion will follow.
DO NOT USE SALT PRODUCTS ON NEW CONCRETE 12 MONTHS OR LESS, manual shovel!!
